If you read my interview last month, you will know I have had a life long love affair with donuts. Cinnamon ones have always been my favourite, I will take those over iced ones any day. But alas, along with so many others, donuts are long gone from my list of treats as the sugar and gluten just isn't worth the pain. 

But raw donuts, now there's a treat I can, and do, eat!

The lid on my food processor broke. Completely. I picked it up after being washed and it fell apart.

I checked my receipt and yes I am in warranty! I rang the company and no I don't have to go back to where I bought it from, since the photos I sent showed the lid would be covered under warranty and if I check my emails in about 15 minutes I will have all the details I need to return the broken lid and a new one will be sent out to me. Raw cheesecakes are a constant in my house. Different flavours, some on repeat and some on demand.

When I started making raw cheesecakes I made a large cake. Now I always make mini ones - they are much easier to serve, to store and to eat. Sometimes I go through a phase of making cheesecakes so with the mini ones you can keep a variety of flavours in the freezer and they ready for serving at a moment’s notice – well, I do like mine defrosted and straight from the fridge but I know some who prefer them frozen.

Since I made this cheesecake a few weeks ago, I have not been allowed to make any other flavour. This conversation seems to have been on repeat ever since I made them. This is my favourite breakfast by far! 

I love the ease, the versatility, the goodness of a chia pudding. I’ve made it with water, with almond milk, with coconut milk, with freshly squeezed tangelo juice. I’ve flavoured it with vanilla, activated charcoal, crushed raspberries, mesquite powder, cacao, Butterfly Pea tea, turmeric, blue algae and peanut butter. I’ve made multi coloured chia puddings, hot chia puddings, and topped my chia puddings with smoothies. If you have seen my Instagram account, the chia pudding makes a regular appearance!
